The Children’s Chorus of San Antonio is comprised of over 200 talented and dedicated young musicians from San Antonio and surrounding communities. Founded in 1983 by Marguerite McCormick, CCSA’s mission is to bring the highest quality choral music education and performance opportunities to children throughout the metropolitan area. In addition to presenting its own concert series, CCSA regularly sings with the San Antonio Symphony and Mastersingers, has performed alongside the Texas Bach Choir and the UTSA Choirs and Orchestra, the United States Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants, and has been featured in the San Antonio Festival, the San Antonio Early Music Festival, Musica San Antonio, and the San Antonio Founders Day Celebration. The Children’s Chorus of San Antonio is a community-based organization serving the greater San Antonio area; our mission is to bring the highest quality choral music education and performance opportunities to our children and youth. Our singers represent a true tapestry of San Antonio’s rich culture.
- Boys and girls ages 7-18 rehearse weekly during the academic year in one of five training and performance ensembles
- Singers learn musicianship and vocal technique – and develop valuable life-long skills including confidence, poise, self-esteem and discipline.
We are thrilled to announce a fabulous new opportunity for our families! CCSA will be holding our early childhood classes on Saturdays again this summer at the Radius building downtown. In addition, new class times on Wednesdays and Thursdays and at a new location – St. Anthony de Padua – are now available. We are excited to offer these new opportunities to you and our Music Together families! Classes are filling up quickly – if you are planning on attending this summer, register today!
Classes begin July 7th and run for six weeks. Visit our website at musictogethersa.org or call 210.826.3447 for registration and additional information.
